1. GoCatch Account
GoCatch enables you to earn Qantas Points on Taxi and Ride travel booked and paid for through the GoCatch app. There is no cost to create a GoCatch account. To earn Qantas Points you will also need to be a Qantas Frequent Flyer Program (“QFFP”) member. If you are not already a QFFP member, you can join without incurring a joining fee by completing the QFFP membership application form, and by accepting the QFFP Terms and complying with all other QFFP joining and membership requirements.
The Terms and Conditions that relate to your GoCatch account and earning Qantas Points through GoCatch are set out below.
2. Defined Terms
In these Terms and Conditions we use the following terms:
‘Award’ has the meaning given to it in the QFFP Terms.
Reward Flight’ has the meaning given to it in the QFFP Terms.
‘Link’ means to connect your QFFP Account with your GoCatch Account to receive the Qantas Points you earn on eligible Taxi and Ride travel booked and paid for through your GoCatch Account.
‘GoCatch Account’ means an account held at GoCatch.
‘Eligible travel’ means any fare made through the GoCatch app.
‘Other Benefits’ are other promotions and special benefits which may be offered to you from time to time.
‘Points’ means Qantas Points.
‘Qantas’ means Qantas Airways Limited ABN 16 009 661 901.
‘QFFP’ means the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program.
‘QFFP Account’ means your Qantas Frequent Flyer Program membership account.
‘QFFP Member’ means a member of the QFFP.
‘QFFP Terms’ means the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program Terms and Conditions
‘Related Body Corporate’ has the same meaning as given to that term in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
‘Remove’ means to remove your QFFP membership details from you GoCatch Account.
3. Your eligibility to join GoCatch and earn Qantas Points
(a) You are eligible earn Qantas Points through GoCatch, if you:
(i) are an individual (organisations cannot become GoCatch members);
(ii) have a GoCatch Account(s) in your name;
(iii) are a member of the QFFP (to become a member see “Becoming a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program” below);
(iv) link your QFFP Account to your GoCatch Account (see “Linking your QFFP Account to your GoCatch Account” below) which must be in the same name;
(v) agree to these Terms and Conditions.
(a) When you join GoCatch you are deemed to agree to these Terms and Conditions, and
(b) You warrant that all information that you supply to GoCatch or Qantas in relation to the QFFP and these Terms and Conditions is true, accurate and complete.
4. Becoming a Member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program
(a) The QFFP is owned, operated and administered by Qantas.
(b) Only individuals can become QFFP Members. Organisations cannot become QFFP Members.
(c) If you are not already a QFFP Member, you can join without incurring a joining fee by completing the QFFP membership application form, and by accepting the QFFP Terms and complying with all other QFFP joining and membership requirements.
(d) The Terms and Conditions that apply to your membership of the QFFP and the earning, retention and redemption of Points by you are set out in the QFFP Terms.
5. Linking Your QFFP Account to Your GoCatch Account
(a) To earn Points through GoCatch, you must first Link your QFFP Account to your GoCatch Account.
(b) Once Linked, you can remove (or update) your QFFP Account from your GoCatch Account at any time by going into the GoCatch App, Qantas Frequent Flyer menu item and selecting Remove or Update buttons. If you remove your QFFP Account from your GoCatch Account you will not earn Qantas Points with GoCatch from the date that you remove your account.
6. Earning Points
(a) You will earn Qantas Points on trips using the GoCatch app, (including GST, tolls and all other costs included in your fare), after the date on which you Link your QFFP Account to your GoCatch Account; and
(b) You will earn Qantas Points when the payment through GoCatch has been processed. Please allow up to 60 days for your Qantas Points to be credited to your QFFP Account.
(c) The Qantas Points earn rate is determined by GoCatch and may change at any time.
(d) Qantas Points will be earned based on spend rounded down to the nearest dollar.
(e) You will only earn Qantas Points on a GoCatch Account if at the time the account is processed, your QFFP Account is Linked to your GoCatch Account
(f) Qantas Points will not be earned:
(i) on payments made other than through a GoCatch Account;
(ii) on payments that are refunded to You by GoCatch;
(g) GoCatch will not exchange Qantas Points or Other Benefits for cash or gift-cards (see “How to redeem Points” below for information on how to redeem your Qantas Points through the QFFP).
(h) Qantas Points can be earned on fares booked and paid for through the GoCatch app.
GoCatch may change the qualifying threshold and the qualifying spend from time-to-time and will advertise this.
7. How to Track Your Points
You can check the Qantas Points you have earned from GoCatch and your total QFFP Points balance here.
8. How to Redeem Points
Points earned from GoCatch can only be redeemed through Qantas Frequent Flyer (not GoCatch) in accordance with the QFFP Terms.
9. Reversing Points
GoCatch may request Qantas to reverse (debit) any Qantas Points that have been or are to be credited to a QFFP Account. This may be done where you have been refunded for services under transactions on which you have earned Qantas Points or where there are other grounds which GoCatch or Qantas consider reasonable to warrant a reversal.
10. Bonus Qantas Points
From time to time, GoCatch may have bonus Qantas Points offers. Separate terms and conditions may apply to these offers (in addition to these Terms and Conditions).
11. Claiming Qantas Points
Qantas Points will only be earned on transactions that occur after linking your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership details to your GoCatch Account. Qantas Points cannot be earned retrospectively on past transactions. No exceptions apply.
12. The Qantas Frequent Flyer Program
QFFP membership is determined by Qantas, not GoCatch. QFFP membership, Qantas Points (including redeeming and expiry of Qantas Points following them being credited to your QFFP Account), the number of Qantas Points required for Awards and Rewards and changes to the number of Qantas Points required for Awards and Rewards are all subject to the QFFP terms and conditions.
13. Claims and Complaints
(a) If you notify GoCatch your QFFP Account has not been appropriately credited with Points to which you are entitled pursuant to these Terms and Conditions (a “Claim”), then GoCatch will, within 30 business days after receiving your Claim:
(i) advise Qantas either:
A. that you are not entitled to Qantas Points under these Terms and Conditions; or
B. that you are entitled to Qantas Points under these Terms and Conditions, in which case GoCatch will then advise Qantas to credit your QFFP Account with those Qantas Points. Please allow up to 60 days after the day you are notified of this decision for your Qantas Points to be credited to your QFFP Account; and
(ii) notify you of GoCatch’s decision regarding your Claim, and the reason for that decision.
14. Taxation Implications
(a) You are responsible and liable for any taxation implications relating to your participation in the QFFP.
(b) GoCatch recommends you seek independent taxation advice in respect of the possible taxation and fringe benefits taxation consequences arising from your participation in the QFFP.
15. Privacy and Consents
(a) GoCatch respects your privacy. We collect, store and use your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all other applicable privacy laws.
(b) It is a condition of holding a GoCatch Account that you consent to:
(i) GoCatch using your personal information for the purposes described in its privacy policy.
(ii) GoCatch exchanging, collecting and using personal information relating to your goCatch account, including your name, email address, mobile number and QFFP Account number, for the purposes of earning Qantas Points with GoCatch.
(c) If you do not provide personal information, or do not consent to these terms, you will not be able to create a GoCatch account or earn Qantas Points with GoCatch.
(d) You may access or correct your personal information held by GoCatch, or make a complaint about its privacy practices, as described in the GoCatch Privacy Policy.
16. No Liability
(a) Subject to its obligations under law, in particular consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law (and other similar consumer protections) that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified, GoCatch will incur no liability to you in relation to any loss, damage, costs or expenses suffered or incurred by you as a result of:
(i) the suspension and/or termination of your GoCatch account;
(ii) the ability or inability for GoCatch account holders to earn Qantas Points; or
(iii) the operation of the QFFP (including the redemption of Points).
(b) If you are a QFFP member you may be able to redeem your Qantas Points for Awards and Rewards under the QFFP. GoCatch is not the supplier to you of these Awards and Rewards. The terms for supply of Awards and Rewards are the QFFP Terms, not these Terms and Conditions or any other goCatch terms.
17. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
(a) GoCatch reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time.
(b) Where we change these Terms and Conditions, or any benefits under the QFFP, an updated copy of these Terms and Conditions will be available on the GoCatch website . Members should regularly check for updates to the Terms and Conditions.
