GoCatch Rewards Programme | Terms of Service

These terms of service form a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) between Taxi Apps Pty Ltd ABN 55 149 538 616 trading as GoCatch (referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”) and you as an individual registering to be a user of our service described in the next sentence (referred to as “you”, “your”, or “User”). This Agreement governs aspects of your use of the GoCatch application (“GoCatch App”) and your use of the GoCatch Rewards Programme, GoCatch Membership Programme, GoCatch Rewards platform, and GoCatch Shop (collectively the “GoCatch Platform”).

  1. Introduction
    1. These Terms of Service form the basis of the GoCatch Rewards Programme. These Terms of Service have been created with the intention to protect both GoCatch and Users. Each and every User is responsible to read and understand the Terms that define the relationship.
    2. Every User is bound by these Terms and Conditions.
    3. These Terms of Service are effective at the date indicated above being the most current Terms of Service.
    4. These Terms of Service may be amended at any time by GoCatch.
    5. At the time of registration with GoCatch, Users will be provided with access to a copy of these Terms and Conditions. Material changes, as defined by GoCatch, will be notified to Users.
  2. Defined Terms
    1. In these Terms and conditions, unless the context otherwise requires:
    2. Term Definition
      Benefits Means any of the facilities, discounts, services or arrangements offered or available to a User as a result of Non-Member Status, Member Status, VIP Status, or any other category granting benefits in the GoCatch Rewards Programme including earning and redeeming GoCoins and Rewards;
      ‘GoCatch Non-Member’ or ‘Non-Member Account’ or ‘Non-Member’ Means a GoCatch customer who has a GoCatch Non-Member status.
      ‘GoCatch Member’ or ‘Member Account’ or ‘Member’ Means a GoCatch customer who attains or purchases a GoCatch Member status.
      ‘GoCatch VIP Member’ or ‘VIP Member Account’ or ‘VIP Member’ Means a GoCatch customer who attains or purchases a GoCatch Member status.
      GoCoins Means rewards awarded to Users in GoCatch Rewards Programme subject to these Terms and Conditions unless otherwise stated.
      Membership Status The level of membership a User has with GoCatch, being a Non-Member, Member, VIP Member, or other Member Status Category as indicated by GoCatch.
      Earn Rate Means the rate at which GoCoins are awarded as calculated from the amount spent on GoCatch trips
      Other Benefits Means other promotions and special benefits which may be offered at the discretion of GoCatch, from time to time
      Membership Fee Means the fee required to be paid to acquire a level of membership
  3. GoCatch Account
    1. GoCatch enables Users to earn GoCoins for transactions paid through the GoCatch App. These GoCoins are recorded on a User’s GoCatch Account.
    2. The Terms and Conditions that relate to earning GoCatch GoCoins through GoCatch app are set out below.
  4. Becoming a Member
    1. The Programme is owned, operated and administered by GoCatch.
    2. Only individuals can become Programme Participants. Organisations cannot become Programme Participants.
    3. The Terms and Conditions that apply to user Participation in the Programme and the earning, retention and redemption of Points by users are set out in these terms and conditions.
    4. GoCoins are earned based on the Membership Status of the User.
    5. An annual fee is required to be paid to GoCatch for the creation and maintenance of GoCatch Member Account. GoCatch Member Accounts are valid for one-calendar year from date of purchase unless indicated otherwise. Non-renewal of a Member Account by a User will result in a User becoming a Non-Member. Benefits and upgrades associated with Membership status will be removed at the change of status.
    6. GoCatch, in its absolute discretion, may grant a Member Account that is not subject to a creation and / or maintenance at the discretion of GoCatch. GoCatch Member Accounts gifted to a User will be subject to additional terms indicating the duration of the status and the expiry date of any benefits, perks, or upgrades. Accounts granted in this fashion may be withdrawn at the discretion of GoCatch.
    7. An annual fee is required to be paid to GoCatch for the creation and maintenance of a GoCatch VIP Member Account. GoCatch VIP Member Accounts are valid for one-calendar year from date of purchase, unless indicated otherwise. Non-renewal of a VIP Member Account by a User will result in a VIP Member becoming a Non-Member. Benefits and upgrades associated with Membership status will be removed at the change of status.
    8. GoCatch, in its absolute discretion, may grant a VIP Member Account that is not subject to a creation and / or maintenance at the discretion of GoCatch. GoCatch VIP Member Accounts gifted to a User will be subject to additional terms indicating the duration of the status and the expiry date of any benefits, perks, or upgrades. Accounts granted in this fashion may be withdrawn at the discretion of GoCatch.
    9. Users may become GoCatch Members or GoCatch VIP Members by submitting a request to GoCatch and paying the relevant fee for the level of Membership Status.
    10. Upfront and ongoing fees and costs associated with GoCatch Membership Status may be changed at any time.
  5. User eligibility to join GoCatch Rewards Programme
    1. Users are eligible to earn GoCoins through GoCatch, if they:
      1. are an individual
      2. have a GoCatch Account in their name; and
      3. agree to these Terms and Conditions.
    2. When users join GoCatch they are deemed to agree to these Terms and Conditions, and
    3. Users warrant that all information that they supply to GoCatch in relation to the Programme and these Terms and Conditions is true, accurate and complete.
  6. Earning GoCoins
    1. Users will earn GoCoins on trips using the GoCatch app,
      1. Only trips paid for with an electronic payment method are eligible for GoCoins,
      2. The trip must occur on the User’s account to be attributed to their account,
      3. Trips taken with Cash and not paid through the GoCatch app are not eligible for GoCoins,
      4. GoCatch Credit can only be redeemed with on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in a GoCatch Economy, Taxi, Maxi or Premium excluding payments outside of the GoCatch App including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge, and
      5. The User must have entered a valid Credit/Debit card, PayPal account, Google Pay account, or Apple Pay account as a saved payment method in the GoCatch app
    2. GoCoins earned by users will be credited to their Account within 60 days of the processing of payment for a GoCatch trip.
    3. The GoCoins Earn Rate is determined by GoCatch and may change at any time.
    4. GoCoins will be earned based on spend rounded down to the nearest dollar.
    5. GoCoins will not be earned:
      1. on payments made other than through a GoCatch Account
      2. on payments that are refunded to Users by GoCatch.
    6. GoCoins will only be redeemable for items indicated in the GoCatch Shop at the prescribed rate.
    7. GoCoins are not redeemable for Cash and hold no cash value.
  7. Membership under the GoCatch Rewards Programme
    1. Redemption of GoCoins and Benefits must be done so in accordance with the redemption time frame.
    2. If GoCatch amends the Terms and Conditions in a way that deprives the User substantially of the intended use of membership, the User will have the option of cancelling their membership and receiving a pro rata refund of the membership fee for the remaining period of membership.
  8. How to Track Your GoCoins
    1. Users can check the GoCoins they have earned from GoCatch and their GoCoins balance on the GoCatch app.
  9. How to Redeem GoCoins
    1. GoCoins earned from GoCatch can only be redeemed through GoCatch in accordance with the Programme Terms.
  10. Reversing Points
    1. GoCatch may reverse (debit) any GoCoins that have been or are to be credited to a User
    2. GoCatch may reverse GoCoins where:
      1. Users have been refunded for services under transactions from which they have earned GoCoins, or;
      2. there are other grounds which GoCatch consider reasonable to warrant a reversal.
    3. Reasonable Grounds for reversal may be determined at the discretion of GoCatch.
  11. Bonus GoCoins
    1. From time to time, GoCatch may have bonus GoCoins offers. These bonus offers may be subject to additional Terms and Conditions.
  12. Redeeming GoCoins
    1. GoCoins earned from GoCatch can only be redeemed through GoCatch in accordance with the Programme Terms
    2. GoCoins are only earned on transactions that occur on a completed User’s account.
    3. GoCoins cannot be earned retrospectively on past transactions.
    4. GoCoins are redeemed by Users through the GoCatch App
    5. When redeemed for GoCatch Credit the GoCatch Credit can only be redeemed with on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in a GoCatch Economy, Taxi, Maxi or Premium
      1. This excludes payments outside of the GoCatch App including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge.
    6. Users must have entered a Credit/Debit card, PayPal account, Google Pay account, or Apple Pay account as a saved payment method in the GoCatch app
  13. Transfer of GoCoins
    1. GoCoins may be transferred to other User Accounts pursuant to these Terms and Conditions
    2. GoCoins may not be transferred once they have been redeemed by a User’s Account
  14. Claims and Complaints
    1. Where a User notifies GoCatch that their Account has not been appropriately credited with GoCoins for which they are entitled to, pursuant to these Terms and Conditions (a “Claim”), then GoCatch will advise a User either:
      1. that they are not entitled to GoCoins under these Terms and Conditions; or
      2. that they are entitled to GoCoins under these Terms and Conditions, in which case GoCatch will credit their Account with those GoCoins.
    2. Within 30 days of receiving their claim, GoCatch will notify a user of their decision regarding the Claim, and the reason for that decision.
    3. Where Users are notified of a decision for GoCoins to be credited to their Account, the should allow up to 60 days after the day they are notified of this decision
  15. Taxation Implications
    1. GoCatch exclude responsibility for any taxation implications relation to user participation in the programme
    2. Users are responsible and liable for any taxation implications relating to their participation in the Programme.
    3. GoCatch recommends that users seek independent taxation advice in respect of the possible taxation and fringe benefits taxation consequences arising from their participation in the Programme.
  16. Privacy and Consents
    1. GoCatch respects user privacy. GoCatch collect, store and use a user’s personal information in accordance with our privacy policy, the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and all other applicable privacy laws.
    2. It is a condition of holding a GoCatch Account that Users consent to:
      1. GoCatch using their personal information for the purposes described in its Privacy Policy.
      2. GoCatch exchanging, collecting and using personal information relating to their GoCatch account, including their name, email address, mobile number and Programme Account number, for the purposes of earning GoCoins with GoCatch.
    3. If users do not provide personal information, or do not consent to these terms, they will not be able to create a GoCatch account or earn GoCoins with GoCatch.
    4. Users may access or correct their personal information held by GoCatch, or make a complaint about its privacy practices, as described in the GoCatch Privacy Policy.
  17. No Liability
    1. Subject to its obligations under law, in particular consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law (and other similar consumer protections) that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified, GoCatch will incur no liability in relation to any loss, damage, costs or expenses suffered or incurred by users as a result of:
      1. the suspension and/or termination of their GoCatch account;
      2. the ability or inability for GoCatch account holders to earn GoCoins; or
      3. the operation of the Programme (including the redemption of Points).
    2. Programme Participants may be able to redeem GoCoins for Awards and Rewards under the Programme at the discretion of GoCatch.
  18. Changes to these Terms and Conditions
    1. GoCatch reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate these Terms and Conditions at any time.
    2. Where we change these Terms and Conditions, or any benefits under the Programme, an updated copy of these Terms and Conditions will be available on the GoCatch website. Participants should regularly check for updates to the Terms and Conditions.

GoCatch Gift Cards

GoCatch Rewards Shop

GoCatch Gift Cards can be redeemed for on-demand trips and Advance Bookings in all GoCatch vehicle classes, excluding trips with in-app payments tagged as ‘business’ and payments outside of the GoCatch app including, but not limited to, Taxi jobs with external payments, cash, EFTPOS, or Cabcharge. Passengers must select to pay with a credit/debit card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or ZipPay, saved and tagged as a ‘personal’ payment method in the GoCatch app. When redeeming a GoCatch Gift Card, the full amount of the voucher balance is transferred to the user’s GoCatch account on redemption, rendering the Gift Card voucher code void. Voucher codes are only able to be entered once. The new voucher balance of the user’s account is automatically applied to the next requested trip, and will be deducted from the final amount at the end of that trip. If the fare is higher than the account voucher balance, the difference will be charged to the selected payment method. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged or resold. Gift Cards have no cash redemption value and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift Cards should be treated as if it were cash – it will not be replaced or refunded if it is lost or stolen. Gift Card expiry is 36 months from date of issue. Any unused voucher credit after 36 months from date of issue will be forfeited.

VIP Premium Transfer

GoCatch Rewards Shop

VIP Premium Transfers from the Rewards Shop are valid for on-demand trips and Advance Bookings up to the value of $125, and must be booked through GoCatch Concierge Services.

Airport Transfers

Sydney Airport Transfer – Sedan (1 Trip)

1 sedan vehicle transfer which can be used for trips from Sydney Airport to Sydney CBD (and surrounding suburbs) or in reverse order. Transfer expires 12 months from date of redemption. Surrounding suburbs include all suburbs within a 12km radius of Sydney Airport. Pickup and drop-off outside of 12km radius incurs an additional charge of $3.00/km, at a cap of 50km. If you are unsure whether your suburb is covered please send an email to bookings@gocatch.com noting your suburb for a confirmation of coverage and any extra cost. To book your transfer, simply contact us via telephone or email quoting your Transaction ID and we’ll confirm your trip details and book on your behalf. Booking by telephone is available between 9AM – 5PM, Monday to Friday (AEST), or 24/7 by email. Vehicle class is a standard 4 door sedan seating up to 3 adults. Vehicle image is indicative only and may not reflect make or model of vehicle provided. Additional charges may apply for extra luggage or baby seats etc which are available upon request. Bookings to be made 24 hours prior to scheduled pickup time.

Melbourne Airport Transfer – Sedan (1 Trip)

1 sedan vehicle transfer which can be used for trips from Melbourne Airport to Melbourne CBD (and surrounding suburbs) or in reverse order. Transfer expires 12 months from date of redemption. Surrounding suburbs include all suburbs within a 21km radius of Melbourne Airport. Pickup and dropoff outside of 21km radius incurs an additional charge of $3.00/km, at a cap of 50km. If you are unsure whether your suburb is covered please send an email to bookings@gocatch.com noting your suburb for a confirmation of coverage and any extra cost. To book your transfer, simply contact us via telephone or email quoting your Transaction ID and we’ll confirm your trip details and book on your behalf. 1 sedan vehicle transfer which can be used for trips from Regional Australian Airports to Regional City Centres / CBD (and surrounding suburbs) or in reverse order. Eligible locations include:

  • NSW: Tamworth, Ballina, Port Macquarie, Wagga Wagga, Dubbo, Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Newcastle
  • VIC: Mildura
  • WA: Karratha, Port Hedland, Broome, Kalgoorlie, Paraburdoo, Geraldton, Exmouth, Kununurra,
  • QLD: Proserpine, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Mt Isa, Roma, Bundaberg, Hervey Bay, Moranbah, Emerald
  • SA: Port Lincoln, Mt Gambier, Olympic Damn
  • TAS: Devonport, Launceston
  • NT: Alice Springs

Transfer expires 12 months from date of redemption. Surrounding suburbs include all suburbs within a 15km radius of an eligible Regional Airport. Pickup and dropoff outside of 15km radius incurs an additional charge of $3.00/km, at a cap of 50km.
